Captain Jonny Evans, left-back Kieran Gibbs, and central midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak will all be available.

Gibbs and Krychowiak were always expected to return from their leg injuries but it was initially thought Evans would miss the game against Chelsea with his back problem.

The skipper is due to return on Monday now, although Jake Livermore, Hal Robson-Kanu, Nacer Chadli and James Morrison all remain sidelined.

"The good news for us is we should have more players available," said Pardew.

"I think Gibbs will play, Evans will be available, Grzegorz will be available, and that is going to strengthen my hand on the pitch and from from the bench as well."

Albion missed all three players during their 3-2 defeat to Southampton last weekend that left them four points adrift at the bottom of the table.

The Baggies lacked Krychowiak's energy in midfield and Evans's composure at the back.

Gibbs has been a consistent performer since his £5m arrival from Arsenal last summer.

Their return has given Pardew renewed confidence that his team can escape from danger.

"It's been one of those weeks where we've had to reposition ourselves in our minds and think we really are going to have to carry the fight and that starts at Chelsea," he said.

"There could be a seven point gap (by Monday) but that's hypothetical at this stage. At the moment it's four.

"All I do know is at some point this team needs to win three games out of three or three games out of four.

"I think we're capable of doing that, if I didn't think we were then I would worry.

"But we've got enough, particularly with the addition of (Daniel) Sturridge on top of the players that we've got. If we keep everyone fit we're capable of doing that.

"It's been a hard week. When you look at games and think there's a winnable game that extra pressure comes.

"We've dealt with that pretty well but the Southampton game fell a little bit unluckily for us in terms of the injuries we sustained.

"Right up until kick off we weren't sure whether one or two of those players would make it so it was touch and go.

"Southampton deserved to win, sometimes you have to respect the Premier League, other teams can turn it on.

"We've got to turn it on in every game from now until the end of the season but unfortunately we didn't against Southampton."
