The flying winger hit 35.13km per hour in the 3-1 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion, according to Premier League tracking data 'TRACAB'.

Only Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger (35.19km per hour) went faster during the weekend’s action.

Burke came off the bench at the Amex Stadium and set up James Morrison’s consolation goal with a headed assist.

His power and pace caused Albion to shell out £15m for him this summer but Tony Pulis has asked supporters to be patient with the 20-year-old following his move from RB Leipzig.

“Burke's training has been very good but he hasn't played any games,” said Pulis. “Everybody will want to see these players performing and doing well but we'll have to take our time with them and be patient.”

The top 10 fastest players of the weekend were, in descending order, Rudiger, Burke, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Mame Biram Diouf, Josh King, Emre Can, Cuco Martina, Jamie Vardy, Mo Salah and Shane Long.
