The games are the third “double-header” to be confirmed by the Baggies, who will send squads to both clubs on Saturday, July 29, with both games kicking off at 3pm.

It follows the previous announcement of games at Walsall and Burton Albion on Wednesday July 26 and at Kidderminster Harriers and Port Vale on Tuesday, August 1.

Rovers finished the season tenth in League One, while Slough ply their trade in the Southern League Premier.

Albion’s players are due back into training during the first week in July and will almost immediately head to Austria for their now traditional pre-season camp.

The club are waiting to confirm a possible fixture at the end of their stay on the continent, before they fly out to Hong Kong to compete in the Premier League Asia Trophy, playing games on Wednesday July 19 and Saturday July 22.

A run of domestic fixtures then follows, though the club are likely to confirm a final pre-season friendly for Saturday August 5, one week before the Premier League campaign begins.
