Leeds keen on Albion keeper Anders Lindegaard

The Danish 31-year-old joined the Baggies on a free transfer from Manchester United in the summer.

After Ben Foster was ruled out of action with a long-term knee injury, Lindegaard was brought in on a two-year contract in order to provide some cover, and competition, for Boaz Myhill.

However, with Myhill in such inspired form this season, the big Dane has been limited to just one appearance so far.

That was in the 3-0 defeat away at Norwich City in the Capital One Cup third round.

Now back training on the grass, Foster is edging closer to a return from injury, effectively pushing Lindegaard down to third choice.

Leeds' new boss, Steve Evans, called Albion manager Tony Pulis after he got the job last month to speak about the possibility of taking a player on loan.

Now it looks like the former Rotherham manager is keen on taking the 6ft 4in keeper off Pulis' hands for good.

Lindegaard still lives near Manchester, and currently travels down to the Black Country with fellow United old boys, Jonny Evans and Darren Fletcher.

So a move north and the possibility of more game time may be appealing.

He joined Albion after Louis van Gaal signed Victor Valdes and Sergio Romero for United.
