The Baggies have turned down another offer from the Rams for the 21-year-old, this time believed to be just over £1m.

This comes after the Championship play-off finalists saw an initial offer of £950,000 fail to tempt Albion.

Thorne saw a formal transfer requested rejected by the club on June 13 and it remains to be seen if they will return to the negotiating table for a third time.

The youngster played 12 games on loan for Derby last season, scoring twice, including the play-off final which they lost 1-0 to QPR.
