On-loan West Brom star Romelu Lukaku today spoke about his dream to become a Chelsea legend.

The teenage striker admits he faces a fight to nail down a place when he returns to Stamford Bridge. But he still has ambitions to be a Chelsea great.

Lukaku has already revealed he hopes to remain at The Hawthorns for a second season on loan to boost his chances of making the 2014 World Cup with Belgium.

But he said today: "My aim is to play at the Bridge and to be a legend over there in the future.

"That is the dream. That's what I signed for Chelsea for. But the time is going so really I need to keep playing and hopefully in the next few years become one of the key elements at 'the Bridge'."

Chelsea have added Demba Ba to their ranks since Lukaku left for his Baggies loan, but the 19-year-old insisted: "That's the thing when you play for Chelsea – they will always sign big players.

"So now it is up to me to show I can go over there and play and do the same as he does now."

Lukaku is set to figure for the Baggies at Liverpool on Monday and goalkeeper Ben Foster has insisted Steve Clarke's men can hold their heads high after losing 1-0 to Tottenham on Sunday.

Goran Popov's red card for spitting early in the second half undermined a promising Albion performance and Foster said: "It was very frustrating on Sunday.

"We walked off the pitch at full-time but we had our heads held high, in contrast to the last few weeks.

"It was a good team performance and it was a bitter one to take that we didn't come away with something."

Albion hope to finally reunite Youssouf Mulumbu with Claudio Yacob in the heart of midfield with Mulumbu continuing his recovery from a knee problem aggravated on Africa Cup of Nations duty.

Striker Peter Odemwingie is also waiting to see if he will be called into the squad following his fall-out with the club.
