Walsall have snapped up the signing of free agent Emmanuel Osadebe following his departure from Macclesfield Town earlier this year.

The 23-year-old scored four goals in 29 appearances for the Silkmen last season before leaving in January.

He signed with Southend United in February but due to a transfer embargo the deal could not be officially registered, leaving him as a free agent this summer.

A versatile attacking midfielder, Osadebe is now raring to go in a Saddlers shirt.

“I’m delighted to join the club and I’m excited by the challenge,” he said.

“It’s a great club and a stable club that is pushing forward.

“I want to play as many games as I can and show what I can do.

“I’ve played in this stadium a couple of times and I feel like we have a good group here, everyone is ready to kick on and I can’t wait to get going.”

Saddlers boss Darrell Clarke added: “We’re really pleased to add Emmanuel to the squad.

“He has the ability to play in a variety of roles in the attacking third and he will give us extra impetus going forward.”

Osadebe will wear the number 23 shirt.
