By the time the campaign gets underway in the fourth tier on September 12, the Saddlers will have gone more than six months without a game. They last featured on March 7, in a 3-1 win over Exeter, before the coronavirus pandemic halted the season.

Now, with just under six weeks to prepare for the new season, the players returned to pre–season training today.

Darrell Clarke and his backroom team put the squad through their paces at the Essington training ground.

With the club yet to make any signings, or announce any friendlies, it is expected to be a busy six weeks of preparation.
