Despite no start date being set for the new campaign, the club have today launched their new strip – which will go on sale at the club shop on Monday July 13.

As with last year's kits, they have been manufactured by Italian company Errea and the shirts will be sponsored by HomeServe. Both shirts will also feature the Black Country flag on the inside of the neck.

The home shirt is red with green trims on the collar and sleeves, alongside green trim on the shorts and green socks with a red trim.

The decision to include green harks back to Saddlers strips of the late 1970's and early 1980's.

The away kit has more traditional Black Country colours. The shirt is predominantly white with a red collar and has a red and black pattern spread across the top of the front of the shirt.

It is complete with red shorts, with white trim and white socks with a red trim.

HomeServe, who also sponsor a stand at the Banks's Stadium, will continue as the club's shirt sponsor and CEO Gregg Reed is impressed with the homage to previous Walsall colours.

“The retro take on the new kit looks great,” he said.

“We're so proud to be a part of Walsall FC – the Black Country is a huge part of HomeServe's heritage and history and supporting the club is a big deal to us.

"Here's hoping this great new kit will bring Walsall FC great results and a good season.”

After skipper James Clarke proudly modelled the new home kit, he insists he is looking forward to walking the team out in the new season.

“I’m a big fan of both strips,” Clarke said.

“They’re both really smart and I can’t wait to get back on the pitch and lead the team out in it when football returns.”

Dains Accountants will be inaugural shorts sponsors for the 2020/21 season, continuing their long-standing relationship with the club having sponsored the back of a previous shirt.

Richard McNeilly, managing partner of Dains, added: “We are thrilled to be the Walsall FC’s first shorts sponsors for the coming season.

"Throughout our relationship, we have always been open to new ways of supporting the club and 2020/21 is no exception.

"We would like to wish the Saddlers every success for the new season and hope that they can continue their fine form from the back end of last season, unfortunately interrupted through the lockdown.”

Saddlers CEO Stefan Gamble has thanked the club's sponsors for their unwavering support, particularly during the coronavirus pandemic, in what he admits has been a 'difficult' time for them.

“We have had a great relationship with Dains and we are delighted to have them as our inaugural shorts sponsors," he said.

“I’d like to thank both Dains and our principal partner HomeServe for the fantastic support they have given the club over the years and particularly during these difficult times.

"The synergy between our organisations and the branding on the kit really works, they look stunning.”

The shirt prices range between £41 and £47, dependent on size, for adults and £29 for children.

The shorts are priced at £16 for adults and £11 for children, while the socks are £9 for adults and £7.50 for children.

Infant kits cost £36 and babies kits cost £31.
