Following on from his Q&A yesterday, Pomlett has released a video update calling for fans to communicate ideas on how to help increase more revenue during this uncertain financial time.

It comes after the Walsall Supporters’ Trust launched a 50/50 draw earlier this month in order to generate extra cash.

“The fact is, this is a crisis – be under no illusions, this is a crisis for the whole football word and Walsall football club is not immune to that,” Pomlett said.

“We have to take a lot of action to make that we come out of this fit and well.

“Any ideas in terms of cash generation that you have – I do not have all the answers and I’m more than willing to listen to supporters that have ideas about how we help the club through this crisis.

“It will last for some weeks and months to come yet.

“Be assured that we’re looking after the club as you would expect us to, extremely well.

“But it is really tough so any ideas that people have will be well received.”

Meanwhile, Pomlett also called for fans to be patient while the situation surrounding the current season, and next, is up in the air.

“People are asking me what supporters can do to help and they already have, to be honest, with the season tickets,” he added.

“The answer really, is to try and be a bit patient.

“I am very sensitive of the fact that people have bought season tickets and this season hasn’t ended and people have bought season for a season where we’re not sure when it’s going to start – I am very sensitive to that.

“All I ask for at this stage is some patience – I think things will be clearer in the next week or two to how we drive the playing agenda forward.

“Whether that’s a view on when we’re going to play in front of crowds again or whether we’re going to be playing behind closed doors.

“Try and show some patience if you can with the current situation, particularly as it relates to how the season finishes and the next one begins.”
