Walsall striker Mitch Candlin has joined non-league Alvechurch on a youth loan.

The striker made nine appearances for the Saddlers' first team – including one start – before joining Blackburn Rovers on loan in August 2018.

However, Candlin failed to impress Rovers enough to make the deal permanent and he returned to the Banks's Stadium, but has not made another appearance since.

He now heads out to join former Stourbridge manager Ian Long at Alvechurch, who sit one place off the foot of the Southern Central Premier – non-league's third tier.
