This feeling just gets more and more unbearable with each passing week.

I expected us to lose against Scunthorpe, but at least we’re still the right side of the line. It was really a case of getting Tuesday’s games out of the way and scratch another match off the list.

However, we can’t keep just hoping the other teams run out of games, we have to win somewhere, plain and simple.

That said, I have a really bad feeling about Saturday.

I hope I’m wrong but the previous times when we’ve had must-win games at home to avoid the drop, they haven’t gone in our favour and I can see us needing four points from the remaining games to be safe.

I’ve had enough of this now Walsall, just get the job done. Please!

Oldham's defeat to Southend means if we match or better their results over the next 10 days we are safe. Easy eh?

Our defeat to Scunthorpe was expected but again it was our strikers falling short of effort as well as goals.

Now isn't probably the best time to be criticising players as we are "StrongerTogether" but our strikers simply aren't good enough - if I was Dean Keates I'd have no hesitation giving Mitch Candlin a run out.

Keates seems happy continuing with his trusted 4-4-2, but we don't have the personnel to play it. Either go back to 4-2-3-1 or with a back three.

Northampton will exploit our makeshift wingers. We have sold out of our allocation for Fleetwood which is great to see, let's hope we can all celebrate safety at the sea-side.

This season has taken it out of me more than any other. I can't wait for it to be over!

The results at the weekend have really left us in the mire.

Saturday's game has become our biggest for a considerable amount of time. With Northampton picking up a massive three points against Plymouth their tales will be well and truly up, and rightly so. They have won their last two.

And given that another victory would see them climb above us in the table they will be well up for it.

We look far more solid at the back since Dean Keates took over, but up front it’s hard to see where the goals are going to come from.

Usually, in a relegation scrap, it’s the team who have a goal threat that tend to drag themselves out of it, but unfortunately that’s not us.

Hopefully, at full time in Saturday, my worrying will prove to be a load of Cobblers!

Firstly I want to mention how good the fans were on Saturday. We were absolutely brilliant and backed the boys for near enough the full 90 minutes. You're all a credit to this club.

Onto the performance, we weren't that bad but attacking wise we offered nothing.

I singled out three players, Ama Bakayoko, Julien Ngoy and Justin Shaibu. I genuinely don't think they gave 100 per cent. And for us fans, that is unacceptable.

It's those three players though that will have to give their all if we're to come out on top in what is our biggest game of the season.

But lets not underestimate Northampton, since sacking Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink they've improved and won their last two.

Win and we're all but safe, draw and it'll go down to the final day. Lose and I'll fear the worst.

What is certain though is that these players need our backing for the next 90 minutes, so get down to the Bescot and lets do our bit!
