The 25-year-old joined the Saddlers on a free transfer last summer after two years at London Road.

Oztumer enjoyed an outstanding debut campaign at the Banks’s Stadium and ended the season as the club’s top scorer with 15 goals.

But his future currently remains up in the air with the creative schemer yet to sign a contract extension currently on the table.

That means Walsall’s hierarchy are to decide whether they cash in on their talisman or risk losing him on a free next summer.

Peterborough are the latest club to be linked with the former Dulwich Hamlet man, who is also believed to be interesting Sheffield United.

But when asked on social media if there was any truth in the rumours Posh want to re-sign their former midfielder, chairman Darragh MacAnthony replied with a simple ‘none’.
