Long trip back for Stourbridge after defeat

A long midweek journey ended in disappointment for Stourbridge as they went down 2-1 at Lowestoft.

Kristian Green tapped home 13 minutes into the second half to bring the Glassboys level after Connor Deeks opened the scoring with a ninth-minute penalty.

Louis McIntosh restored the hosts’ lead on 68 minutes and two good saves from by keeper Luis Tibbles from Chay Tilt and substitute Will Grocott denied Stour a point.

Struggling Stafford Rangers lost 2-1 at FC United of Manchester in the Northern League Premier Division.

Luke Griffiths put United ahead after 11 minutes but Tom Thorley levelled 10 minutes after the break.

Morgan Homson-Smith 79 fired a winner on 79 minutes for the home side.

Halesowen Town were 5-0 winners against Yaxley in the Southern Division One Central.

Simeon Cobourne, James Bowen, Ashley Sammons, Montel Gibson and Luke Yates were all on target.

Chasetown lost 1-0 at home to Leek Town in the Northern League South East Division. Robert Stevenson struck the only goal on 68 minutes.

Meanwhile, Hednesford Town have re-signed keeper Andy Wycherley on loan from Solihull Moors until the end of the season. Wycherley had spent about two months at Keys Park earlier this season before being recalled by parent club AFC Telford United last month and loaned out to Solihull Moors. The move comes as fellow Moors keeper Shaun Rowley’s loan spell at Hednesford ended.
