Leon Broadhurst and Luke Benbow staying at Stourbridge

Stourbridge legend Leon Broadhurst and striker Luke Benbow have agreed fresh terms with the club for next season.

Broadhurst is the Glassboys’ record appearance holder.

The 34-year-old first joined them 15 years ago and has played 731 times, scoring 145 goals.

He swept up at the end of season awards in April and ended last campaign as top scorer, with 19 goals.

Benbow chipped in with 17 goals from 35 appearances last term, after re-joining the club on loan from Solihull Moors.

The 26-year-old striker netted twice in their Birmingham Senior Cup final win against Hednesford Town at St Andrew’s.

Stourbridge will be part of the newly-formed Southern League Central next term. Tom Tonks, Paul McCone and Kaiman Anderson are among the others staying on.
