Stourbridge 2 Sutton Coldfield 1 - Report

An own goal in Injury time by Sutton defender Lee Smith gave Stourbridge victory at Amblecote last night.

Luke shearer's cross was turned in by Smith at the near post to make it two successive wins for the glassboys.

Former Stourbridge forward Karl Hawley had got Sutton back in the game with a left foot shot from the edge of the area.

Wolves loanee Aaron Hayden had given Stourbridge the lead on 29 minutes when he headed in a corner from Chris Gallagher.

Hayden was sent off though on 70 minutes when he struck out at Josh Green on the ground after being fouled. Green was also sent off.

The result means Halesowen stay three points above Sutton and they play at Witton tonight.

Stourbridge meanwhile travel to managerless Matlock for a league game tomorrow (Wednesday).
