Bamber Bridge 2 Stafford Rangers 0 - Report
Two second half goals from Alistair Waddecar’s saw Stafford Rangers suffer a third defeat on the bounce as Bamber Bridge took a 2-0 league victory.
The Boro now sit bottom of the Northern Premier after 13 matches with just one league win to their name.
Stafford had a good spell of pressure in the early stages and Bradley Grayson saw his effort drop just wide following a free-kick.
At the other end Lewis King was forced into action after 30 minutes to deny Waddecar’s powerful driven effort.
On his Boro debut Will McGuffie broke clear but failed to get his effort on target before Daniel Burns headed wide moments later.
However, against the run of play Bridge were given a penalty when Burns was judged to have handballed James Dean’s header.
Despite King guessing the right way Waddecar saw his penalty nestle in the net.
The Boro threw everything at an equaliser and had a goal-mouth scramble after 77 before the ball was hooked over the bar.
However, any chance of a late equaliser were ended in injury time when Dean played in Waddecar to slide home a second.
