The danger signs were there for the Boro inside the opening 20 minutes when striker Brad Carsley went close with his effort.

Lancaster then took a 34th minute lead from the penalty spot after Matthew Blinkhorn was brought down inside the box by goalkeeper Adam Siviter.

Robert Wilson made no mistake from the penalty spot to fire his side ahead.

Rangers looked to respond after the break and Thomas Thorley went close before a goalmouth scramble was just cleared away.

Just as the Boro looked beaten in the 95th minute Thorley curled home an equaliser to earn a point.
