It was Trinity who went close early on as a quickly taken free-kick saw Max Watters go through on goal only to be denied by the Rangers goalkeeper.

The Boro responded and Jake Charles was only denied the opening goal by the post after 38 minutes..

However, two minutes later Boro fell behind as Will Longbottom crossed onto the head of Ashley Worsfold.

The hosts only led for a matter of minutes when Neil Austin brought down Lewis Banks inside the box and Joshua Green was able to convert the penalty kick.

Neither side were able to score a second half winner and they shared the points.
