Theo Bailey-Jones aims to build on Stafford Rangers' battling point

Winger Theo Bailey-Jones was left frustrated by Stafford Rangers’ 3-3 draw with Whitby Town – but hopes they can build on the ‘great character’ showed to eventually grab a point.

Joe Cuff grabbed a brace and Tom Thorley struck in a thrilling encounter at Marston Road last weekend.

Boro, who took an early lead but then fell behind twice, are now four games without a win in the Northern Premier.

“It was a pretty frustrating, to be fair. I think we had most of the play,” Bailey-Jones told Stafford Rangers TV.

“We were pushing to get all three points, really.

“We showed great character to come back from going behind twice, but we just need to push to get all three points.

“We scored three good goals. When you score three, most of the time you expect to win.

“But at least we got a point after going behind twice. We’ll try to push on now and build from it.”

Bailey-Jones set up the first of man-of-the-match Cuff’s two goals, and on his fellow wideman’s contribution added: “If you score two, I think you expect to get man of the match.

“He would have been disappointed had he not got it.

“It’s a great run from Joe. The manager asked him to get in the box a bit more and he’s got his two goals which is really good.”
