Basford got off to the perfect start taking an eighth minute lead when Courey Grantham’s cross found Zak Goodson to put his side ahead.

Goodson was on target again on 18 minutes later netting his second following good work by Jack Thomas.

Just a minute later the hosts extended their lead further when Kieran Fenton curled his free-kick home.

Rangers felt they should have had a penalty before the break when Fenton appeared to handball but the referee waved away the appeals.

The Boro looked for a way back into the tie in the second half with Theo Bailey-Jones seeing his two efforts fly inches over the bar.

Thomas Thorley was next to go close for Rangers but fired a free-kick into the wall as the visitors started creating chances.

However, any doubt was settled a minute from time when Liam Hearne scored from the penalty spot to make it 4-0.
