The Linnetts took no time in taking the lead when a curling strike by Ryan Hawkins gave his side a third minute lead.

Hawkins went close again on the 19th minute but saw his effort dip just over Adam Whitehouse’s goal.

The second half was much of the same as Rory McAuley sent his header wide for the hosts form a Michael Clunan’s corner.

Kings Lynn doubled their advantage when a low cross by Aaron Jones was put into his own net by Harrison Holgate.

Any doubt was settled with a third goal on 70 minutes when skipper Clunan’s corner found the head of Craig Parker who netted.

However, the Boro did take something from the tie when Joe Cuff slotted home a late consolation goal four minutes from time.
