Banbury United could have opened the scoring as early as the second minute when a cross from the left-hand side found Claudio Dias who side footed the ball onto the bar.

The Pics replied quickly in the fifth minute with a good chance for Jonathon Letford who latched onto Levi Rowleys cross, but his effort headed over the bar.

The visitors have only lost once in their last 9 games in the league and showed their quality with two good chances from Giorgio Rasulo well saved by Jonathon Flatt in the 11 th and 20 th minutes.

Levi Rowley then came close in the 25 th minute as he tested the Banbury goalkeeper from long range, but his effort whistled just wide of the post.

The chance of the half came for the visitors in the 29 th minute as Giorgio Rasulo and Craig Fasamade linked up with a one two but Rasulo’s close range effort was well saved Jonathon Flatt in the Rushall net.

The second half began with very limited chances for either side, but promotion chasers Banbury continued to dominate possession in the middle of the park.

The visitors however did then come close in the 58 th minute again through Rasulo who drove towards goal, but his effort ended up wide of the post.

Banbury did then manage to break the deadlock on 66 minutes after a bursting run from Morgan Roberts down the left-hand side found Craig Fasanmade with a great cross who poked home to put the visitors ahead.

Despite the pressure from the visitors, The Pics found an equaliser from Daniel Waldron in the 88 th minute as he headed the ball home after a deep cross from the left-hand side.

A point apiece on 90 minutes and The Pics can be very happy with that point against a strong Banbury side who dominated vast periods of the match.
