With seven debutants in their starting line up the Pics enjoyed the better of the first half although chances were few and far between.

Danny Waldron had a couple of efforts well saved by Lewis Moat in the home goal and Lee Smith headed narrowly over the bar.

As the visitors pressed for the opening goal Alex Moore shot wide when placed and shortly before the interval wasted an opportunity when his shot went over.

Little had been seen of the home side as an attacking force but Pics keeper Adam Whitehouse made a fine save shortly before half time to deny Sali.

There was a quiet start to the second half but on the hour mark the Pics suffered a huge blow.

Chekaine Steele was sent off and from the resultant penalty Dan Lawlor put the home side ahead.

The ten men were up against and as the home side pressed for a second goal Ben Toseland shot narrowly wide, Paul Malone headed inches over and Whitehouse made a smart save to deny Avelino Vieira.

At the other end Danny O'Callaghan saw his shot pushed past the post and Levi Rowley saw an effort high and wide and Smith headed straight at Moat from a Reece Mitchell corner.

Just when it appeared the Pics would leave with nothing Lee Smith was pushed in the area and skipper SAM WHITTALK kept his cool to score a deserved equaliser for the Pics.
