The home side created a great opportunity in the fourth minute when Tyler Lyttle swung in a corner but Orrin Pendley couldn`t get his head on the ball.

Bedworth hit back and nine minutes later home debutant goalkeeper Matt Sargeant pulled off a fine save to deny Levi Rowley and then a teasing cross from Troke was pushed over by the `keeper` and when the cross came in Alex Troke headed over.

The visitors were growing in confidence and good hold up play from Levi Rowley set up a good opportunity for Richard Platt who shot well over when well placed.

Within two minutes of the re-start Sargeant was there again making another fine save to keep out Troke`s shot and halfway through the second half United should have gone in front but Troke sidefooted a great chance over the bare.

Little had been seen of the home attack but in the last five minutes they had excellent chances to have won the game. Ashley Sammons saw his shot deflected for a corner, Lyttle`s close range header was saved by James Fogg and with just a minute remaining the best chance of the game fell to Ben Lund who burst into the penalty area but lifted his shot over the bar.

In a frenetic ending there was another chance for the home side but Joe Hull couldn`t keep his shot down and fired over the bar
