It was The Pics who took a seventh minute lead when Tyler Lyttle fired home with a cross-come-shot that caught out the home ‘keeper.

Our hosts managed to get back on level terms just before the quarter-hour mark when a free-kick was cleared but the ball looped up into the path of Brady Hickey who volleyed home.

Lyttle went close to notching his second from a free-kick after Danny Waldron was brought down in full flight.

As we continued to press, Ash Sammons went close as the ball hit the crossbar and Orin Pendley couldn’t direct his header from the rebound goalwards.

The wind meant that we were always a threat from set-pieces as we continued to ask the majority of the questions. Massiah McDonald and Dylan Parker linked up well for the latter to go close then Waldron saw his strike have the sting taken out of it with a deflection.

We continued to look the most likely side after the break with Pendley going close with a header on a couple of occasions.

At the other end Joe Slinn saved well just moments before Simeon Maye broke away before coolly slotting home to put us back in front with 20 minutes to go.

With our tails up, Lyttle fired home his second to make it 3-1 and confirm what was a well deserved return to winning ways.
