The Pics are fresh off being knocked out of the FA Cup at the hands of lower-level Sutton Coldfield Town and return to action in the Southern League Premier Central, in which they find themselves on a three-match winless run.

“The confidence is not with us at the moment but that can quickly change with some positive results,” said McDonald.

“We certainly have the quality here and I have every faith in the players to turn things around and start picking up points.

“We have to be better in both boxes and having key players missing has not helped our cause, but we’ll have two or three of them back for the weekend and hopefully have a couple of new faces which will rejuvenate us.

“This is a close-knit club and with everyone pulling in the same direction, we’ll get to where we want to be.

“A victory on Saturday would put us back in the top ten, so that’s not a bad start.

“We know that we have to be better; we’re going through our tough patch early in the season and the only way we will come through it is by everyone sticking together.”

Stourbridge have started strongly in the division, currently sitting fourth, and travel to St Ives Town.

Halesowen Town have picked up just one victory so far and host King’s Lynn Town, who have also found it hard to pick up points.

Former Wolves striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake will be hoping to open his Yeltz account.

He has been on the bench for John Hill’s side over the past few weeks. Ex-Albion man Lee Hughes has been a regular starter.
