Simeon Maye could have got the visitors off to a flier when he was through on goal down the middle on five minutes. The on loan midfielder snatched at his shot and fired wide when he could have perhaps taken the ball further.

Danny Waldron scored the opener on 17 minutes, when Maye flicked on for the front man through the middle. Waldron kept his cool to beat one Lancaster defender before slotting past the helpless Elliot Wynne.

The hosts could have equalised on 22 minutes when a nod down fell to Glenn Steel 15 yards out. His half volley, however, was smashed just wide.

The lead was doubled on 25 minutes thanks to a move that started all the way from Joe Slinn in goal. The keeper played in Josh Webb, who found Gurjit Singh down the right. The Pics wide man slid in a perfectly weighted through ball for Waldron, who finished past Wynne with a first time effort.

A rare Slinn save denied Sam Bailey early in the second half after the Lancaster winger rifled towards goal from 25 yards. Slinn just got across tip over.

Waldron nearly bagged his hat-trick after 60 minutes, when he went on a marauding run from his own half before letting fly from the edge of the area. Unfortunately for the in-form striker his effort went just over the bar.

Rushall had Josh Webb and AJ Adelekan to thank in the final few minutes as they both made excellent blocks to ensure a hard fought clean sheet to cap off a battling three points.
