Danny Mitchley scored from the spot on seven minutes after the referee controversially penalised Joe Hull for a foul inside the area on the Lilywhites captain.

Rushall could have equalised on 21 minutes but Danny Waldron headed inches wide from a sublime Josh Webb cross down the right.

The home side were themselves given a penalty in first half stoppage time after keeper Martin Fearon brought down Andre Landell in the box.

Landell picked himself up to take the spot kick but his effort went wide of the goal.

Rushall could have equalised straight after the restart, when sub Dom Dell was played in down the right.

His shot beat Fearon but hit the post and rolled agonisingly to safety.

Marine doubled their lead against the run of play on 57 minutes, when Liam Tongue headed past Hill from a Chris Lomax corner to make it 0-2.

Fearon kept the Pics at bay twice in a minute on 82 minutes, first tipping wide a Majed Osman shot and then parrying away a deflected shot from the resulting corner.

The visiting keeper once again kept Osman out five minutes later, sticking out a hand to block a point blank effort to ensure Marine ran out winners with a clean sheet.
