The 28-year-old attacker has recently been playing for Harriers' league rivals Altrincham, on loan from AFC Fylde, but joins the reds on an 18-month permanent deal.

Hemmings progressed through the Wolves academy before moving on to get football league experience at several clubs including Walsall, Dagenham & Redbridge and Mansfield Town.

He won Player of the Year at non-league Boston two seasons ago before moving to Fylde.

His impressive performances for the Robins caught the eye of Harriers boss John Pemberton and the winger was recalled by his parent club to allow his move to Aggborough.

Pemberton said: “I’m delighted to have that over the line, he’s a player that I’ve admired for a while – I think he’ll be an asset to us.

“When we played Altrincham earlier in the season, I know our supporters were talking about him because he played well.

“He’s a ball carrier, he has good technique – I want to add more goals into our team – and hopefully, he will create and score.

“I want to bring in better players with experience at this level, and he certainly fits that bill.”

The signing is the first to come under a new consortium of owners who recently took charge.

Hemmings will now be looking to make his Harriers debut against Farsley Celtic on Tuesday night.
