Kidderminster Harriers announce John Pemberton as boss

Kidderminster Harriers have appointed John Pemberton as their new boss on a two-year deal.

Russ Penn will be his assistant while continuing to serve as a player for the National League North side.

Pemberton, 52, made more than 300 appearances as a player for the likes of Crewe Alexandra, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United, and has spent the best part of two decades as a coach.

He arrives at Aggborough having had senior coaching roles at Bristol City, Palace, Northampton and Chesterfield.

This is his first permanent post as a manager.

Kidderminster said in a club statement: "An astute and disciplined character, he is widely regarded in football circles.

"We look forward to moving onwards and upwards under John’s leadership."
