Hednesford Town startlet Cohen Bramall could be set for a shot at the big time after being given a trial by Premier League side Crystal Palace.

The speedy 20-year-old has been starring for the Pitmen in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier Division.

But he has caught the eye of several Premier League and Championship clubs – including Palace who recently fielded Bramall in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Brentford.

Bramall, who plays at left-back or left wing, impressed the Eagles so much that they want to take another look at him and he's due back at Selhurst Park on December 5.

He could soon be facing the likes of Chelsea, but for now though Bramall remains with Hednesford – and is due to face Coalville Town tomorrow.

That will be new boss Paul Casey's first home game in charge of the Pitmen and he spoke in glowing terms about Bramall. "He's got the strength, he's very quick and runs with the ball naturally – he's a dream player," Casey said.

"He's got it all and the better pitches will suit him. It boosts the club's profile and shows what talent there is at this level."

Hednesford have signed defender Kyle Rowley, who is back at the club after a spell at Sutton Coldfield Town.

And Casey has returned to his old club Coleshill to sign winger Reece Leek.
