Hill, who joined the Yeltz from Tipton Town in 2012 and has since managed more than 300 games, is exiting by mutual consent.

Assistant Matt Clarke is also departing after a poor run in the Southern League Central.

Fans called for Hill, who led the club to promotion from the Northern League Division One South in 2014, to go after Tuesday's 2-0 defeat to Barwell.

Halesowen said in a club statement: "The club would like to place on record their utmost thanks to them both for the work they have carried out for the club.

"Their hard work and dedication to the club was paramount in maintaining our status at this level during last season’s uncertainty.

"It has been agreed that John will remain in charge for the games at Spennymoor on Saturday and the trip to AFC Rushden and Diamonds on Tuesday whilst a successor is sought.

"The club will be advertising for a suitable replacement in due course.

"We would ask that all supporters are patient with us at this time of transition and would ask that you continue in your tremendous and loyal support 100 per cent behind the club."
