Ahmed Ali got the winner at The Grove, lifting the Yeltz nine points clear of Sutton Coldfield Town - who occupy the only relegation spot in the Evo-Stik Premier.

Stuart Pierpoint was sent off for the Glassboys, a decision even Hill feels was harsh.

"It had a bit of everything, didn't it? There was goalmouth action, a win to Halesowen but, unfortunately, a red card," he said.

"You don't want to see a red card. It's a foul, but it's not a red. I thought the referee made his decision too early. There was other players around.

"You can't base your season off of beating Stourbridge twice, but it's good for the supporters.

"The club has been a little bit of turmoil over last few months and we've done the double over our local rivals so I'm just pleased the supporters have got something to smile about."

Pierpoint was given his marching orders after tripping Ivor Lawton, who seemed through on goal.

Stour chief Gary Hackett insists Paul McCone was there on the cover and that it was not a clear goalscoring opportunity.

"It's a bitterly frustrating afternoon, we've hit the post twice and hit the bar," he said.

"We gave them something to hold onto.

"Even with 10 men, we had plenty of possession but didn't find that clinical edge.

"I'm very disappointed with the referee. The sending-off was harsh as there was a covering player.

"McCone was there, within touching distance. Very poor."
