John Woodhouse, who lifted the FA Vase at Wembley twice, is attempting to gather as many former Yeltz players as possible who featured in the three Vase finals of the mid-80s.

The club are planning to mark 35 years since their first Vase triumph in 1985 by parading the players on the pitch at half-time of their home match against Altrincham on Saturday, March 24.

Club chairman Karen Brookes is providing lunch for the players beforehand, and they will be introduced to fans afterwards.

Halesowen reached the FA Vase final for the first time in 1983 but lost to VS Rugby 1-0. However, they lifted the trophy in 1985 and 1986, beating Fleetwood 3-1 and Southall 3-0.

Players can call John on 01384 633976.
