After a very quiet start to the game, Jahquil Hill kept Halesowen at bay with a fantastic save from Danny Udoh on 33 minutes after the forward got in behind the home defence.

Richard Brodie carried on where he left off on Tuesday by converting his second penalty in three games after being fouled inside the area by Asa Charlton on 38 minutes. The striker sent Danny Platt the wrong way to put Rushall into the lead.

The Yeltz got an instant reply, with Danny Udoh sliding in to nip the ball past Hill after a precise through ball found him 10 yards out on 41 minutes.

The Pics were back in front three minutes later, when a pinpoint Danny Waldron cross from the right found Wes Atkinson who nodded home from close range.

Mathis Fonovich doubled the Pics’ lead on 61 minutes with a sublime finish. The Frenchman received the ball on the edge of the area before curling a sublime effort into the top corner to make it 3-1.

The Pics defence stood strong for the rest of the game, with the Yeltz struggling to get a foothold as Rushall protected their lead manfully until full time.
