Junior football team enters the big leagues with first adult side

A local football team is to field its first adult side in the club's 36-year history.

The Bridgnorth Spartans has around 300 local both boys and girls on its teams in various age groups from 7-17, and now for the first time they are entering the Salop Leisure Division 1 league.

Spartans' adult first team will be kicking off this August with a team of Bridgnorth based players who will be continuing their Spartans adventures after mostly playing for the club as children.

The first team side is being managed by Jon Gaff with Dean Yates as head coach.
