Sporting Khalsa going up to highest level

Sporting Khalsa will join Halesowen Town and Chasetown in the new Northern Premier League Midlands Division next season after having their promotion confirmed by the Football Association.

Ian Rowe’s men will compete at step four of the non-league pyramid for the first time after being granted promotion, despite their league campaign being curtailed by the coronavirus pandemic.

But with the FA pressing ahead with its pyramid restructure, Khalsa were deservedly granted a place at the next level up.

Elsewhere, Wolverhampton Casuals have been promoted to the Midland Premier at step five, while a number of clubs have moved sideways into Midland One after the demise of the West Midlands League as a step six division. Stafford Town and Brocton have been shunted into the North West Counties League.
