The Pitmen, who have struggled so far this season, saw keeper Andy Wycherley save a Bromsgrove penalty with the scores at 0-0 before falling behind to a Courtney Richards strike soon afterwards.

However, the home side hit back through Louis Dodds just before half-time.

But it was in the second half that the Pitmen really got going.

Dan Turner put them ahead before Dodds struck his second.

Kyle Rowley headed in from a corner to make it four before Ben Bailey completed the scoring, heading home from another corner with four minutes left on the clock.

League rivals Rushall Olympic also picked up three points with a 3-1 victory at Barwell. Orrin Pendley, Burton loanee Tom Hewlett and Solihull Moors loanee Ben Usher-Shipway did the damage in the first half with Barwell getting a goal back just after the break.

Stafford Rangers did not fare so well, however, in the Northern Premier League, going down 3-0 to Atherton Collieries. Joe Cuff was sent off for the Boro in the second half.

Chasetown surrendered a half-time lead to go down 2-1 to 10-man Ilkeston Town in the Northern Premier South-East division.
