Tividale are given tough Cup draw

Tividale will be representing the Midland Football League when they face higher league opposition in the FA Cup first qualifying round.

The Dale reached the draw after beating Market Drayton Town 1-0 on the weekend and will now face Northern Premier League side Nantwich Town.

Elsewhere, Halesowen Town have been drawn away to West Bridgford. The Yeltz scored two late goals in their 2-1 win over Newcastle Town on Saturday.

Stourbridge have a short journey, staying in the Midlands, when they travel to Tamworth, while Hednesford Town are at home to Long Eaton United of the Midland League.

Chasetown, who came away 1-0 winners at Kidsgrove Athletic, are at home to Basford United.

Shropshire side Shifnal Town will welcome the challenge of Worcestershire side Alvechurch.

All ties will take place on Tuesday, September 22. Unless the rules change before the tie, clubs will be allowed to welcome fans back to the grounds with social distancing measures.

The tie winners will receive £2,250 in prize money while the losers will receive £750.
