Kidderminster Harriers handed chance of cup revenge at Stourbridge

Kidderminster Harriers will be looking to avenge last year’s defeat after being drawn against Stourbridge in the FA Cup third qualifying round for the second year running.

The Glassboys defeated Harriers 3-2 last season in a closely fought contest.

Now, if John Pemberton’s side can overcome Stafford Rangers in a replay, they will travel to the War Memorial Athletic Ground in the next round.

Harriers are currently mid-table after 11 games in the National League North, picking up four wins, two draws and five defeats, while Stourbridge have won five out of eight games in the Southern League Premier Division Central, losing two.

Elsewhere, Halesowen will be hosting a National League North side in the third qualifying round after being drawn to either Chester and Altrincham who played out a 1-1 draw.

Chasetown will also be hosting a National League North side if they can overcome a replay against Leamington.

They drew 2-2 away at the Warwickshire outfit last time out and if they win the replay they will host Darlington.

Hednesford Town will host either Curzon Ashton or Blythe Spartans, while Rushall Olympic will travel to either Belper Town or Witton Albion.

Replays are taking place tonight(TUES) and third round qualifying draws will be played on October 5.
