The Boro were given a boost after just 15 minutes after Ben Garrity was sent off for his second yellow card offence.

However, six minutes later Warrington took the lead when captain Mark Roberts crossed for Bohan Dixon to head home.

The equaliser came on the half-time whistle after the hosts failed to clear their lines and Andria Jones capitalised and fired home.

Rangers then scored two goals inside three minutes to give themselves a clear footing in the tie.

Firstly a long throw bounced in the box nicely for Bailey-Jones to fire his side ahead after 58 minutes.

And then three minutes later Andrew Haworth’s cross was met by the head of Luke Jones to give his side a two goal advantage.

Town set up a grandstand finish on the 86th minute when Dylan Vassallo’s cross fell nicely for substitute Marcus Cusani to fire home.

However, the hosts failed to find a last gasp leveller.
