During an open meeting with members of the club's supporters' association, Price said he was on the look-out for new investors to try and take the club forward.

“I’ve been involved with Hednesford Town Football Club for 24 years now and I feel that the time is now right for me to try and sell the club on to someone else in order to take it forward in the coming years," said Price. “I’m not getting any younger and I’ve always said that I wanted to make sure that the football club can continue to function – and now I feel the time is right for me to begin a search for someone to be able to do that.

“Ideally we’d all like one individual to come in and take the club forward but we’re open to hearing from all other avenues as well.”

More details will be announced by the Pitmen in due course.
