The 24-year-old has made the switch north to Cheshire following a seven-day approach from the National League outfit.

Archer has made a big impression with the Glassboys since joining from Bedworth United last November.

He netted 22 goals in 51 appearances and spent a week on trial with Walsall during pre-season.

The former Cradley, Tipton and Tividale hitman will now link-up with Chester boss Marcus Bignot, who he previously worked with at Solihull Moors.

Stourbridge assistant boss Jon Ford said: "Jordan has been fantastic for us and he's a great guy.

"We wish him all the best and he deserves his move. He's gone a couple of levels higher and with full-time coaching, Jordan will do well."

Stour have seen a number of players move up the divisions this year, most notably defender Dan Scarr who joined Birmingham City after impressing in the Glassboys historic run to the third round of the FA Cup.”

Kristian Green, Chris Lait and Luke Benbow have all meanwhile made the move across the Midlands to the Moors.
