The hosts dominated a first period of few chances and gained the upper hand as Daniel Udoh's 28th minute shot was saved low down by Curtis Hall.

The Yeltz then took the lead after half an hour when John McAtee broke down the left and although his first attempt was blocked, the rebound fell kindly for him to slot past goalkeeper Hall.

Before the interval Charlie Walford cleared Kyle Morrison's header off the Romulus line and Udoh forced a good blocking save from Hall with the home side seeming comfortable.

But Romulus looked a different side after the break and started to threaten as a 30-yard free-kick from Louis Harris drifted wide before a couple of good crosses just escaped a final touch.

The visitors levelled in the 64th minute when Louis Harris's long range effort was only parried by goalkeeper Dan Platt and Harry Harris converted the rebound. The Yeltz were unable to get going again although substitute

Yasin Al-Massry was blocked on the line from Jack Kelly's injury time corner.

The tie went directly to a penalty shoot-out and the first spot-kick from each side was saved with Hall saving from Kelly and Platt keeping out

Malachi Farquharson. Following three further successful penalties each, Asa Charlton put Halesowen's last penalty wide, allowing Romulus to win the game as Louis Harris smashed into the top corner beyond Platt.
