Having gained promotion to the top flight last season, many fans would expect to see their favourite players get a healthy boost in the stat column of the game, but it's actually one of Villa's new signings which tops the pile, according to Futwiz.com.

Tom Heaton is the man who takes the top spot according to the game, with an overall rating of 80 - and given his performances so far, it's hard to argue against his obvious ability.

Another new signing in striker Wesley follows up Heaton in second, with an overall rating of 79. He also boasts a physical rating, a measurement of his athleticism, of 88 - making him one of the most imposing players in the game.

Jack Grealish nets the bronze medal alongside Trezeguet, with both players sporting ratings of 77. That's an improvement of just one point for Villa's skipper from last season, which may come as a surprise to many.

Bjorn Engels, Marvelous Nakamba and Frederic Guilbert follow up with 76 ratings, whilst John McGinn needs to settle for an overall rating of 75, rising from 71 last time around.

Despite receiving his first England call-up of his career, Tyrone Mings is rated just 74, on par with Anwar El Ghazi, James Chester, Conor Hourihane and Douglas Luiz.
