Dean Smith’s men begin the final eight-game Championship run-in when they host Blackburn this Saturday.

Villa are targeting a fifth straight league win – for only the second time since 1998 – having surged back into play-off contention.

A number of players are due to report back from international duty in the coming days, with Hause confident the break will not disrupt the team’s progress.

He said: “We are just hungry for every single game, whether we have a week, or two weeks off.

“Come the next game against Blackburn, I can guarantee you we will be ready and at it to get the three points.”

Hause, who joined on loan from Wolves in January, has impressed in defence during Villa’s renaissance.

He added: “We’ve played some really tough teams and to get four wins on the bounce, everyone is buzzing with that – as players, staff and as a club.”
