Championship play-off final: Bookies tipping Aston Villa and Fulham for penalty drama
Bookmakers are tipping Aston Villa's huge clash with Fulham this weekend in the Championship play-off final to go all the way to penalties.
It might not help Villa fans' nerves, but the bookies have a penalty shoot-out to decide a winner as short as 9/2.
Fulham are the favourites to lift the play-off trophy at 4/6, with Villa at 11/10.
bet365’s Steve Freeth explained why they're not ruling out a dreaded penalty shoot-out:
“Recent history tells us that the world’s richest game is often a cagey affair and we just don’t see this experienced Aston Villa side going toe-to-toe with Fulham early on."

Last season, the Championship play-off final went all the way to penalties, with Huddersfield Town getting the better of Reading after a goalless 120 minutes at Wembley.
