Sporting Khalsa manager Ian Rowe is relishing a promotion ‘six-pointer’ as they look to avenge a defeat in the reverse fixture against Newark Flowserve.

With just three points separating fourth-placed Sporting and their second-placed opponents, Rowe is eager to get points on the board with three games in hand over their Midland League Premier Division rivals.

“We’re looking forward to it, we’ve only played once in three weeks because of the weather,” he said. “They’re a good side that are pushing for promotion so it’s a bit of a six-pointer, but with us being at home we need to take the advantage.

“With these games still up our sleeve it’s important we get the points on the board and stick with the pack that are all vying for promotion.

“They beat us 4-1 at their place, they’re very well drilled.

“A lot of their players have played at step three or four, so it’s an experienced squad.

“They’re going to take some beating but hopefully we can avenge the defeat from earlier in the season.”

Elsewhere in the league, a mid-table clash sees Walsall Wood host Long Eaton United, with three points currently separating the sides.

AFC Wulfrunians will look to close the gape on South Normanton Athletic, while Tividale host Racing Club Warwick, with both teams on 24 points towards the bottom of the league.

Strugglers Lye Town, who sit second-bottom of the league, welcome promotion-chasing Stourport Swifts.

In the West Midlands League Premier Division, Wolverhampton Casuals host Dudley Town as both teams aim for promotion.

Bilston Town travel to Wem Town, Black Country Rangers host Wednesfield and Darlaston Town travel to Littleton. Wolverhampton Sporting Community host AFC Bridgnorth, Cradley Town travel to Pershore Town and bottom of the league Dudley Sports face fellow strugglers Shawbury United.

Smethwick Rangers do not have a scheduled game after their clash with Cradley was postponed on Wednesday.
