Wolves

Wolves are set to miss out on reported target Joelinton this summer, with Newcastle preparing a £36m offer for the Hoffenheim forward.

Nuno's side were linked with a move for the Brazilian in recent weeks, although it seems now that a deal is unlikely.

Newcastle plan on backing new boss Steve Bruce, who's side looked out of their depth during their pre-season thrashing at the hands of Wolves in the Premier League Asia Trophy.

Plymouth are being linked with a move for Wolves youngster Niall Ennis.

The young forward is unlikely to make his way into Nuno's first-team plans this season, despite sporting a small squad.

Reports suggest that Plymouth want him in on-loan as they look to strengthen for their League Two campaign.

West Brom

Despite reports to the contrary, rumours now suggest that Charlie Austin could depart St. Mary's this summer, after a bust-up with Saints' boss Ralph Hasenhuttl.

The striker had been linked with a move to West Brom earlier this summer, but recent stories had suggested that Austin was happy to play out his contract, which has 12 months remaining.

The bust-up with Hasenhuttl is likely to spell the end of Austin's stay at Southampton, although his chances of first-team action already appeared slim before the reports emerged.

Stoke remain the bookies favourites to sign former Albion loanee Dwight Gayle.

West Brom will not be bringing the striker back to the club due to his Premier League wages, although the change of manager at Newcastle could lead him to stay put.

Fulham, Leeds and Norwich are also tipped by the bookies as potential landing destinations for the striker, should he leave the Toon.

Aston Villa

Sampdoria are the latest side to show an interest in Egyptian winger, Trezeguet - who Villa have reportedly been eyeing up in recent weeks.

The 24-year-old was watched by Villa during his African Cup of Nation's games this summer.

Reports had claimed that Villa had bid around £10m for the winger, although now it appears that other teams could be sniffing around the move.

Villa are reportedly interested in a move for Lille forward Rafael Leao.

The 20-year-old striker netted eight goals in 26 games last season, having joined the French club on a free transfer from Sporting in 2018.

Everton are also reportedly interested in the Portuguese starlet.
